Gordon-Conwell is accredited by the Association of Theological Schools, the New England Commission of Higher Education, and the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs. **Position Summary:** Under the supervision of the Lead Associate Registrar, the Assistant Registrar supports the mission of the seminary by serving as the Registration department point of contact for staff and faculty at Hamilton, assisting students through managing registration concerns, reviewing student academic performance, confirming graduates, commencement planning, and overseeing Hamilton course schedules and setup for online registration. This position also serves as a Designated School Official (DSO) and International Student Advisor. This position is required to work in person at Gordon-Conwell’s Hamilton, MA location 5 days a week. **Key Responsibilities:** • Student Petitions and Academic Review (25%) Receives and acts on student petitions within seminary policies and communicates decisions to students. Reviews Transfer Evaluation requests. Creates Th.M. Program resources that communicate and instruct on Th.M. policies and procedures. Reviews individual student class performances, with particular concern for potential probation situations or underachievement of required grade point average minimum. Refers special problems to the Lead Associate Registrar or appropriate committee for counsel and direction. • Graduation Verification and Commencement Planning (25%) Certifies the credentials for graduates; reviews graduation applications and communicates important information to pending graduates. Arranges for diploma issuances and graduation regalia distribution for graduates. Serves on Commencement Committee to assist with planning the commencement exercises, including graduate lineup, staff training and coordination with the other communities, and participates as assigned. • Data Entry & Transcripts (15%) Ensures timely processing of registration related data entry, including registration forms, pass/fail petitions, immunization and TB records, biographical data, address changes, final grades, processing official transcript orders, etc. o Ensures creation of new student checksheets and audit of new student records every semester. Maintenance of dual degree student transcripts, including correction of errors in Student Information System. o Processes cross-registrations for BTI and Dokes Gordon College students, serving as the Registration liaison to BTI host school registrars and Gordon College registrar, and provides updated course schedule to BTI (fall and spring). • Course Schedules (15%) Works closely with the Lead Associate Registrar with course schedule planning, particularly for residential education, and ensuring schedules are up to date and accurate on the website and Canvas site. Ensures Hamilton course sections are created in the Student Information System in advance of online registration.
