This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in construction management and gain hands-on experience in all phases of project delivery. * * * ### **Key Responsibilities** - Assist Project Managers in overseeing construction projects from start to finish - Coordinate schedules, subcontractors, and material deliveries - Monitor project progress and ensure timelines and budgets are maintained - Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and contracts - Communicate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure alignment - Conduct site visits to ensure safety standards and quality control - Help identify and resolve project issues proactively * * * ## Requirements ### **Qualifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred) - 1–3 years of experience in construction or project coordination (internships acceptable) - Strong organizational and multitasking skills - Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities - Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) is a plus - Knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and building codes * * * ### **Skills & Competencies** - Attention to detail - Time management and prioritization - Team collaboration - Adaptability in a fast-paced environment - Basic budgeting and scheduling knowledge Licensure / Certification / Credentials: - Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to provide documentation verifying employment eligibility. - Valid drivers license. Availability: - Full time (40 hours) : Monday - Friday Location / Commuting / Travel : - Candidates must currently reside within commuting distance of the Hampton Roads region, including Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Suffolk, Newport News, or Portsmouth. - Candidates are responsible for their own transportation to and from work locations. - This role requires regular travel to project and job sites as part of normal job responsibilities. - Local candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. - Candidates slightly outside the described region who are comfortable with an extended commute are welcome to apply. Essential Physical Functions: - Ability to travel to and access active construction sites. - Ability to walk and stand for extended periods while inspecting project sites. - Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and navigate scaffolding or uneven terrain when necessary. - Ability to occasionally bend, kneel, crouch, or reach while reviewing work areas or site conditions. - Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and rain, during site visits. - Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE…
