Assistant Production Manager 2nd Shift

The duties for this position include but are not limited to the following: - Meet timely production goals and follow all standards of food manufacturing. - Strive to constantly improve processes and yields. - Ensure 100% accuracy of packaging and labeling. - Responsible for production scheduling and operations. Evaluate sales and demand and ensure accuracy of production numbers compared to demand. - Interview, hire, train and review and discipline production department employees. - Work closely with the Quality Manager to ensure compliance with all regulatory and 3^rd^ party auditing agencies. - Operate department within a prepared budget. - Strive to control waste of packaging materials, ingredients and labor hours. - Recommend process improvements and procurement of new or replacement machinery and participate in new product development team. - Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards To be eligible for this position, candidates should meet the following requirements: - Two years of experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role - Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools - Advanced skills in MS Office - Organizational and leadership abilities - Self-motivated with a results-driven approach - Problem-solving skills - High School Diploma; degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field will be an advantage - Knowledge of HACCP and SQF is a plus
