Performs duties of school age staff. - Regular attendance at Employer's place of business and/or during particular hours, as assigned, is an essential function of this position. Employee must comply with and follow YWCA’s attendance policy at all times, unless a reasonable accommodation is requested and granted, as required by law. - Assists in supervision of day-to-day programs, operations, facility, staff, participants, business and record keeping for assigned site(s) for children age four (4) or older to ensure the safety and the physical, cognitive, social and emotional development of each child in a nurturing and appropriate environment. - Supervises all program aspects in absence of Director. - Assists in training new and tenured assigned employees to ensure compliance with standards, resolution of deficiencies identified in monitoring, and the improvement of overall program quality and staff development. - Routinely performs duties of assigned staff or assigned site as needed or to fill or ensure qualified child/staff ratio, spending a minimum of 30% of time role modeling tasks. - Assists in achieving Board approved objectives for designated site(s). - Assists in implementation of approved developmentally appropriate and bilingual, bicultural curriculum that provides emotional, social, intellectual and physical growth of the children. - Makes recommendations to enhance child development operations, curriculum, staffing patterns or professional development and ensures implementation of approved revisions. - Under supervision of Director, is accountable for record keeping, accounts, budgets and regulatory compliance with Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (TDFPS) standards and other appropriate government laws, regulations, and contractual agreements. - Negotiates customer complaints and ensure customer service for parents and program participants. - Ensures nutrition of children enrolled through direct supervision of kitchen staff, food management and compliance with USDA standards. - Ensures enrollment by assisting Director with continued marketing of program(s). - Monitors, detects and reports abuse or neglect according to Texas Family Code and TDFPS Minimum Standards. - Participates in and cooperates with investigations into parent, participant or staff complaints, grievances, charges, claims and hearings as requested. - Assists in selection and purchase appropriate materials and equipment and reporting transfer/disposal of equipment and needed repairs to supervisor. - Maintains regular communications with supervisor to discuss progress, issues, and concerns. - Conducts an…
