## **Assistant Attorney General** ## **Consumer Protection Section - Antitrust, Multistate, and Privacy (AMP) Unit** ## **St. Louis** The Missouri Attorney General's Office is actively seeking attorneys with excellent credentials for an Assistant Attorney General position in the Antitrust, Multistate, and Privacy Unit of Consumer Protection Section. The Consumer Protection Section handles some of the Office's most complex and high-profile civil litigation and criminal prosecutions. The Antitrust, Multistate, and Privacy Unit enforces state and national laws regarding competition, consumer protection, and data security in cooperation with other state attorneys general and/or federal enforcement partners. Our antitrust work involves enforcement of the federal Sherman and Clayton Acts as well the Missouri Antitrust Law. This includes both investigations and litigation to challenge unlawful monopolization, conspiracies in restraint of trade, and the review of mergers with a substantial Missouri impact. Our privacy work involves enforcement of Missouri's data breach notification laws and the Missouri Merchandising Practices Act as well as a variety of federal statutes, such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). The position may involve intermittent daytime or overnight travel within Missouri. For more information on the Consumer Protection Section please click here: [**https://ago.mo.gov/divisions/consumer/**](https://ago.mo.gov/divisions/consumer/) **Preferred experience/skills**: - 5 years of experience or more in the Antitrust, Multistate or Privacy field - Knowledge of state and federal court practice - Courtroom and trial experience - Resolving claims by settlement - Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy Health, vision, dental, and life insurance plans, state pension, and deferred compensation available. Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Missouri. Candidates with relevant experience and education will be considered for an interview. Salary is commensurate with experience. EOE
