Asset System Development Officer

**About the role** We have an exciting opportunity for an **Asset System Development Officer** to join our Asset Strategy team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting, developing and optimising Council's Asset Management Systems. You will provide system administration and end-user support, manage system configuration and asset data, undertake data analysis, prepare specifications and reports, and champion best-practice asset management principles across Council. Reporting directly to the Coordinator Asset Strategy, you will collaborate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to improve asset information, strengthen decision-making, and support the effective management of Council's assets. This is a full-time permanent role based at our Civic Centre in Wantirna South. We support flexible working arrangements while ensuring operational needs of the role are met. This is a Band 6 classified role. Remuneration will be $102,287.48 to $107,416.64 depending on experience (pro-rata for part time) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee. **What you will bring to this role** The key selection criteria for this role are: - Experience with Asset Management Systems and Geographic Information Systems, preferably with Confirm, QGIS, Intramaps, My Predictor, MS SQL (desirable) and Microsoft Office applications. - Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. - Knowledge of the principles of asset management and the asset lifecycle. Strong written and verbal communication and listening skills, with the ability to analyse data, develop reports and deliver training and presentations. - Experience with infrastructure assets (preferably within a Local Government environment), asset condition assessments, asset valuations and asset renewal. - Desirably some experience or knowledge of project management and business analysis. **How to apply** Please submit your application, including your resume and cover letter online via the ‘Apply’ button by **11:45pm on Thursday 30 July 2026.** All applications must be made via the online portal.
