Watts is a leading brand with a quality reputation — and we have a dynamic future ahead.​ **Scope of Position** This highly experienced individual, as part of the OEM assembly department, will be responsible for assembling mechanical units, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies using a standardized process. This position is responsible for building/assembling components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts and sub-assemblies. The Assembler processes, packages, labels, and moves finished products for shipment. This position reports to the Value Stream Manager (VSM). This role is on-site and is based in Woodland, CA. **Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities** - Aligns material and puts together parts to build more complex units. - Interprets blueprint specifications for each unit. - Conducts first piece inspection to verify adherence to quality standards. - Packages and labels product following standard procedure. - Technical expert and helps resolve production issues. - Supports new product initiatives. - Trains department employees. - Understands and engages in reviewing and verifying department metrics. - Proficient at all required equipment setups. - Accountable for production schedule within cell. - Expert in all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for applicable department/cell. - Exceeds productivity expectations. - Advanced understanding of department specific tools and measuring equipment. - Sustains inventory and parts replenishment system. - Participates in department meetings. - Completes industrial lift truck certifications (as needed). - Collaborate effectively with all team members across departments. - Helps support other department functions as needed. - Help create and maintain a positive work environment. - Understand and abide by all company safety policies. - Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Manufacturing Supervisor or Company management. - Responsibility directly tied to Watts Value (Integrity, Accountability, Continuous Improvement, Transparency) **Required Qualifications** - High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience. - 4+ years of general assembly experience. - Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable. - Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment. **Preferred Qualifications** - Completes industrial lift truck certifications (as needed). - Proficient user of applicable software tools and scanning operations. **General Applicable Company Competencies** - Commitment to Watts’ values of integrity, accountability, continuous improvement and innovation, and transparency. - Punctuality and dependability. - Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing work priorities and stressful conditions. - Adherence to all personnel policies, procedures, and standards of process as implemented by Watts. - Maintain productive and collaborative relationships with other Watts employees. - Adherence to Watts’ seven cultural beliefs: Growth Mindset, Customer-Focused Innovation, Constant Communication, Clear Goals, Collaborate Globally, Be Inclusive, and *Take Action*. **Working Conditions** While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site in a manufa…
