Sanmina Corporation has facilities strategically located in key regions throughout the world. **Mechanical Assembler** **Job Purpose:** Assemble Electro-Mechanical Assemblies per specifications and ensure quality is a priority. *This position requires flexibility and understanding that all staff may be required to perform duties outside their normal area of expertise to meet the mission and goals of the company.* **Nature of Duties:** - Read, comprehend, interpret & follow basic work instructions, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, & other written instructions. Follow established procedures to accurately assemble products - Assembles components by mechanically fastening parts and subassemblies - Mechanical type assembly using hand tools and power tools - Working with various sized materials from heavy parts to small intricate parts - Identify product defects and report on to appropriate personnel - Keep accurate records/logs etc. - Handling of ESD sensitive materials and equipment - Perform other related duties as assigned - *This position requires flexibility and understanding that all staff may be required to perform duties outside their normal area of expertise to meet the mission and goals of the company.* **Education and Experience*:*** - A strong mechanical aptitude. - Experience with hand tools such as ratchets, wrenches, battery and pneumatic operated tools. - Ability to stand for long periods of time, safely lift up to 20 pounds on a regular basis and ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds (with assistance if required). - Basic computer skills – email, work instructions. - Attention to detail. - Good command of the English language, both written and verbal. **Sanmina is an Equal Opportunity**
