This position involves the assembly of highly intricate components or equipment that demand strict tolerance thresholds. The Assembler I carefully reviews the assembly and production specifications to identify the required assembly, external product finish, and any specific options. The Assembler I assembles components by ensuring proper fitting of connections, fastening parts, and sub-assemblies per product specifications. This position also involves packaging, and palletizing components for shipment to customers. Operating under general supervision, the Assembler I is tasked with determining operation sequences where specifications may be limited or unavailable. | | **Essential Duties** | | --- | | Assembles assigned product parts in accordance with the Product Assembly Specifications (PAS) and safety regulations. Performs timely quality checks in the work area according to established standards. Utilizes high-quality measuring tools like go/no gauges and measuring tape for conducting quality inspections. Identifies problems with products, machinery, or processes and reports them to the supervisor or maintenance department for resolution. Monitors raw materials in the work cell and communicates low levels before runout occurs. Required to meet daily production quotas, assembly cycle times, and tact times established by management. Complies with all safety regulations and maintains organization and cleanliness of work area/site. Supports organizational goals and upholds the importance of continuous improvement. Performs minor rework as needed to precisely detail parts and components for correct assembly. Potential work areas may include Injection Molding (Pads, Speedi, Small Parts), Whips, CVT, Conduit, VAP or Tooling assembly. Performs other duties as assigned. | | **Qualifications, Skills, Abilities and Educational Requirements** | | --- | | **Required** Experience working in a fast paced and high-volume work environment. Proactive “self-starter” with a strong attention to detail.
