Clubs and school sites (Location may change due to business needs) ***DEPARTMENT/PROJECT OVERVIEW*** The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego (BGCGSD or Clubs) CHANGES LIVES through quality programs and guidance in a safe, affordable and fun environment. BGCGSD’s mission is to inspire and enable youth to achieve academic success, build good character and responsible citizenship and make healthy lifestyle choices. We have been providing a safe, fun, and positive environment at our sites with trained and dedicated professional staff. Members are involved in age-appropriate activities based upon our three priority outcomes of *Academic Success, Character Development, and Healthy Lifestyles.* ***POSITION OVERVIEW*** Under the direct supervision of the Branch Manager, the Sr. Group Leader is primary responsible for assisting the Manager with the daily operations including supervision of staff and volunteers; implementation and oversight of programs and activities; development of relationships with youth and families; membership recruitment and retention; and management of program data and outcomes. The Sr. Group Leader will ensure the continued operations of the site when the Manager is not present. Provide support to the Membership Clerk as needed. Continue to perform all of the duties of Group Leader as stated in the job description. Perform any other duties as assigned. ***1. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*** Function Name/Tasks 1. Assist with conducting daily health & wellness checks on all staff and members as outlined in current guidelines 2. Be aware of current safety protocols that are being adhered to: adults are wearing face coverings, social distancing, frequent hand washing, etc. 3. Ensures programs and activities adhere to current health and safety protocols. 4. Coordinates assigned program services and cooperative learning activities for youth that are both fun and instructional; displays a high level of enthusiasm and commitment for activities. 5. Effectively plan and lead programs, services, and a variety of activities for members; promotes and stimulates program participation. Provides guidance and role modeling to members. 6. Responsible for daily set-up and clean-up of all materials used during the program. 7. Work in food service area preparing, cooking, and cleaning up according to established guidelines. 8. Supervises members in program area; monitor and supervise the safety and behavior of members; ensures equipment is in good condition and members instructed in proper and safe use of equipment. 9. Assess facility needs and perform janitorial duties or manual labor as needed – mopping, cleaning tables, trash removal, disinfecting, painting, playing games, moving equipment, etc. 10. Recognize and react quickly to problems-arguing, fighting, horseplay, and stop the undesirable activity quickly. 11. Maintains accurate program attendance records and submits them in a timely manner. 12. Cultivates positive relationships with members, their parents and/or guardians, and staff. 13. Regular and predicable attendance is expected. 14. Orient new members to the program as directed. 15. Assist with the on-site management of attendance data and procedures, program documents, student files, and other administrative duties as assigned. 16. Provide effective and positive customer service by responding timely to parent and staff requests in a professional and timely manner. 17. Serve as lead staff of the Core Program in the absence of the Site Supervisor or Regional Manager. 18. Other duties as assigned. ***2. SAFETY & WELLNESS*** 1. Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all youth, staff, and visitors by consistently enforcing safety protocols and organizational policies. 2. Be proactive in identifying and reporting any safety concerns or maintenance requirements to ensure a safe working environment for everyone. 3.
