Our mission makes AIDB a unique place to work. **POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:** - High School Diploma or GED - Previous coaching experience - Valid Driver License - AHSAA Coaches Education Program certification or obtain certification before any practice attended - Valid CPR certification - A sign language proficiency level of INTERMEDIATE PLUS according to the AIDB evaluation system - Ability to meet suitability criteria for employment **PERFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** - Valid Alabama Teaching Certificate - Head Coaching experience - CDL with Alabama School Bus endorsement **PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:** ### Program Leadership & Player Development - **Skill Instruction:** Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of volleyball fundamentals and rules; effectively teach and develop players in all aspects of the game. - **Player Progression:** Focus on individual player growth and skill advancement to prepare student-athletes for junior varsity and varsity levels. - **Practice Planning:** Design and implement age-appropriate practice sessions emphasizing technique, game strategy, and long-term athletic development. - **Program Alignment:** Coordinate the Junior High and Youth Volleyball Programs, ensuring consistency with the Head Coach’s systems, philosophy, and goals. - **Team Culture:** Promote a positive environment centered on sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork, and maximum effort. - **Off-Season Engagement:** Organize and supervise spring/summer practices, skill development sessions, and specialized camps.
