ASAM RN - Nightshift

JOB DESCRIPTION: The ASAM RN is responsible for ensuring the well-being of persons served/clients as they go through the rehabilitation process. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Communicates with individuals with substance use disorder in need of treatment services. - Conducts ASAM assessments via phone. - Contact providers to provide a report on clients, including ASAM score, to get an approval for services. - Performs in-depth charting for insurance billing (WV and OH). - Communicates with local hospitals and rehabilitation facilities on referrals. QUALIFICATIONS: - Must have an Associates or Bachelor's Degree from approved Nursing school. - Active license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio, or Multi-state license. - Substance abuse or psychiatric experience preferred. - Must complete ASAM online course upon hire. COMPETENCIES: - Ability to interact with a multi-disciplinary team to assist in facets of the recovery program relating to physical health. - Have the ability to communicate with other staff and assist in ensuring the safety of the client. - Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and assumption of responsibilities not delineated in the job description which is related to work as a member of an addiction treatment team. - Attention to detail and organization a must. - Computer literate with experience in a Windows environment. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Ability to prioritize work and work-related responsibilities PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Physical demands described are representative of those that must be routinely met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this position.
