AS400 / COBOL Life/Asia Developer

We are looking for an experienced AS400 / COBOL Life/Asia Developer to support application development, system enhancements, implementation, and production support activities within the insurance domain. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Life/Asia, COBOL development, and AS400 environments. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and implement solutions within the Life/Asia application. Perform coding, unit testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and production support activities. Support day-end, month-end, and ad-hoc batch processing activities. Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Deliver system enhancements, defect fixes, and project initiatives within agreed timelines. Ensure compliance with SDLC, change management, security, and governance processes. Participate in code reviews, version control, and quality assurance activities. Work closely with business users, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure successful delivery. Requirements Minimum 5 years of hands-on Life/Asia development and implementation experience. Strong experience in COBOL development and AS400/iSeries environment. Experience in Life/Asia coding, customization, system enhancements, and production support. Strong knowledge of JCL, batch processing, and job scheduling. Experience in system design, coding, unit testing, troubleshooting, and deployment activities. Good understanding of SDLC, change management, and release management processes. Ability to support critical production issues and perform root cause analysis. Experience working with version control, code reviews, application security, and performance optimization. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
