Our ideal candidate is a collaborative team player who puts student success first and understands the importance of positive relationships with all students. The specific courses this teacher will teach have not been determined. Special Requirements: (Certification, training, specialty skills or previous experience) 1. Valid Oregon teaching license with an endorsement in Art. Masters degree in Art or related subject matter preferred. 2. Previous High School experience teaching a variety of visual arts preferred. 3. Knowledge and training in AVID and WICOR strategies preferred. 4. Ability to use a variety of teaching strategies to assess student learning. 5. Ability to manage student behavior and provide a safe, culturally responsive learning environment. 6. Personal attributes: High energy, creativity, student-friendly, excellent attendance, knowledge and use of technology in class. 7.
