Job Skills / Requirements Armed Security Officer Pay Rate: $38.00 per hour About the Role We are hiring experienced Armed Security Officers to protect critical water infrastructure and support the safety of employees, visitors, and contractors. This position requires sound judgment, advanced training, and the ability to respond effectively to threats while maintaining a professional presence. Duties/Responsibilities Patrol interior and exterior areas of assigned facilities Monitor for suspicious activity, unusual packages, and safety hazards Provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors Maintain/complete detailed accurate incident reports and activity logs Conduct armed patrols of high-risk or sensitive facilities Respond to incidents, threats, and emergencies with appropriate escalation Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders Maintain readiness and situational awareness at all times Carry a company-issued semiautomatic pistol while on duty Qualifications Minimum age 21 High school diploma or equivalent 3 years of verifiable experience in security, law enforcement, or customer service Armed PILB License Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to remain professional and effective in stressful situations Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations (or ability to learn quickly) Clean, professional appearance Fit for duty and able to perform foot patrols Current firearms training certifications Demonstrated proficiency in safe firearm handling Strong communication and decision-making skills Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergencies Professional appearance and demeanor Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Life insurance Education Requirements (All) High School Diploma/GED Certification Requirements (All) PILB Additional Information / Benefits AAP/EEO Statement Diversified Protection Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
