Area Sales Manager : TSP - Manager - EDC Retail (Adjacent 4)

Company: Paytm Role Type: Individual Contributor Role Overview: We are looking for a high-performing Senior Key Account Manager with deep expertise in the payments and fintech ecosystem. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of payment products, banking/NBFC offerings, fintech solutions, and end-to-end integration processes. This is a pure revenue-focused individual contributor role with nationwide business development responsibility across industries and customer segments including Enterprise, Corporate, Government, and Emerging Businesses. Key Responsibilities 1. Revenue & Business Development ● Drive new business acquisition across PAN India. ● Own end-to-end sales cycle: prospecting, pitching, solutioning, negotiation, closure. ● Identify monetization opportunities in every client discussion. ● Structure commercial models to maximize revenue and long-term account value. ● Cross-sell and upsell full-stack Paytm payment and financial products. 2. Payments & Industry Expertise (both online & offline) Strong understanding of: ● UPI, Cards (Credit/Debit), Net Banking ● Payment Gateway, Payment Links, QR, Soundbox, POS, EDC ● Subscription & Recurring Payments ● BBPS, FASTag, Toll, Transit Payments ● Lending partnerships (Banks/NBFCs) ● Merchant financing, BNPL ● Escrow, Settlement cycles, Reconciliation ● Knowledge of RBI guidelines, compliance, risk, MDR economics, and payment flows. 3. Integration & Solutioning ● Ability to understand and explain technical integrations (API-based, SDK, hosted checkout, etc.). ● Work closely with product and tech teams for customized integrations. ● Understand client tech stack and propose optimal integration models. ● Manage onboarding process including documentation, compliance, and go-live. 4. Strategic Account Ownership ● Build and maintain CXO-level relationships. ● Manage enterprise, corporate, and government clients. ● Drive retention and revenue expansion within key accounts. ● Monitor industry trends and competitor strategies. 5. Market Expansion ● Open new industry verticals. ● Identify large untapped segments across India. ● Willingness to travel extensively to build business nationally. Candidate Profile ● MBA (Mandatory) ● 6–9+ years of experience in Payments / Fintech / Banking / NBFC / Financial Services. ● Strong understanding of payments ecosystem and revenue levers. ● Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets. ● Strong negotiation and commercial structuring capability. ● Experience handling enterprise / corporate / government accounts. ● Ability to operate independently with high ownership. ● Strong analytical, solutioning, and communication skills.
