This role sits at the heart of the social media industry, where you will play a critical part in protecting online communities by reviewing, analysing, and moderating Arabic-language content across dynamic social media platforms. If you are passionate about digital safety, fluent in Arabic, and ready to make a meaningful impact in one of the most vital sectors in tech, this is the role for you — and one of the most compelling Arabic-speaking jobs available in Europe today. ### Key Responsibilities - Review, evaluate, and moderate Arabic-language content submitted across social media platforms, ensuring full compliance with community guidelines and platform policies. - Identify and action harmful, abusive, misleading, or policy-violating content including hate speech, graphic material, misinformation, and spam within social media environments. - Investigate complex trust and safety cases, applying critical thinking and cultural context to make fair, accurate, and consistent moderation decisions. - Escalate high-risk or sensitive content to senior specialists or relevant internal teams in accordance with established protocols and urgency levels. - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams — including policy, legal, and product teams — to provide culturally informed feedback on Arabic-language trends and emerging threats within social media. - Maintain detailed and accurate case logs, documentation, and quality records in line with operational standards and performance targets. - Stay up to date with evolving social media platform policies, digital safety regulations, and regional nuances affecting Arabic-speaking online communities. - Contribute proactively to team initiatives aimed at improving trust and safety processes, workflows, and detection strategies across social media channels. - Native or fluent proficiency in Arabic — both spoken and written — is an absolute requirement for this role; strong command of Modern Standard Arabic and/or relevant Arabic dialects is highly advantageous. - Valid EU passport is mandatory for eligibility to work on-site in Sofia, Bulgaria. - A strong understanding of Arabic-speaking cultures, digital behaviours, and regional social media trends, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a content moderation context. - Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the capacity to make well-reasoned moderation decisions under time pressure in a fast-paced social media environment. - A high degree of emotional resilience and the ability to professionally handle exposure to potentially disturbing or sensitive content as part of the trust and safety role. - Strong written communication skills in English for internal reporting, documentation, and cross-team collaboration purposes. - Previous experience in content moderation, trust and safety, digital customer support, or a related field within the social media or tech industry is a distinct advantage, though motivated newcomers are also encouraged…
