We prepare students for successful careers through hands-on skills and learning opportunities. ## What You'll Do As a Substitute Apprentice Electrician Instructor, you'll support apprenticeship students by providing technical instruction and helping maintain a safe, engaging, and productive learning environment. Key responsibilities include: - Delivering classroom instruction in electrical theory, code requirements, safety practices, and industry standards. - Administering and grading assignments, assessments, and examinations. - Monitoring student attendance, progress, and membership hours. - Supporting student retention and successful program completion. - Assisting apprentices with career development, job placement opportunities, and industry certifications. - Building and maintaining relationships with local employers and industry partners. - Gathering feedback on curriculum effectiveness and emerging industry trends. - Assisting with curriculum updates based on advisory committee recommendations and workforce needs. - Ensuring compliance with college policies, accreditation standards, and apprenticeship requirements. - Participating in professional development activities and supporting program improvement initiatives. - Promoting professionalism, workplace safety, and industry best practices. - Supporting program outreach and recruitment efforts as needed. ## What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is a skilled electrical professional who is passionate about education, workforce development, and student success. ### Required Qualifications - Minimum of six years of related electrical industry experience. - Completion of a formal Electrical Apprenticeship Program. - Current Utah Journeyman Electrician License. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, email communication, and Windows-based computer systems. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences. ### Preferred Qualifications - Previous teaching, training, mentoring, or supervisory experience. - Experience working within apprenticeship programs. - Strong organizational and classroom management skills. - Knowledge of current National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements and industry regulations. - Ability to motivate and engage adult learners. - Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. - Strong problem-solving skills and a student-centered approach to instruction. ## Why Join Us?
