Application Engineer II

This role supports sales opportunities through technical expertise by providing advanced (Level 3) assistance, presenting and positioning company products, and building strong relationships with customers. It involves developing and delivering product demonstrations, technical training, and detailed documentation such as application notes, methods of procedure, and scope of work documents, while also reviewing engineering materials for accuracy. The position acts as a subject matter expert in customer-facing events and collaborates closely with sales teams by responding to RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs, including creating system diagrams and bills of materials. Additionally, it requires cross-department coordination to resolve customer needs, providing project updates, handling special assignments, and engaging directly with customers to help drive opportunities toward successful sales outcomes. You will work closely with customers to understand their needs, provide technical expertise, and develop customized solutions to meet their requirements. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of our business and make a significant impact in the field of application and system sales. **Key Responsibilities** - Assists with technical application of Sales opportunities. - Level 3 Technical Assistance - Positions and presents information of company product offerings - Builds technical relationships with new or existing customers - Develops and delivers product presentations and demonstrations - Develops and delivers technical training to technical support engineers - Develops and delivers technical application notes and MOP (Method of Procedure) - Develops SOW (Scope of Work) procedures and documents - Review Engineering Technical Datasheets, Manuals and application notes for accuracy - Offers subject expertise at internal and external customer facing events - Supports Sales Team by responding to customer’s request for information (RFI) through providing datasheets, manuals, technical data, etc - Supports Sales Team by responding to Request For Proposal (RFP) or Request For Quote (RFQ) from customers by generating system diagrams and Bill of Materials (BOMs) - Perform cross departmental communications (liaison) to expedite customer solutions - Provide weekly updates on special projects. - Handle special assignments to support projects. - Collaborates with Sales to culminate opportunities into a Sale Engage in customer-facing activities ### Qualifications **YOU MUST HAVE** - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics - 3+ years of experience in Fire Alarm or related field - Strong technical background in application and systems engineering - Excellent communication and negotiation skills - Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders - Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities **WE VALUE** - Master's degree in Engineering or a related field - Experience in selling complex application and system solutions - Proven track record of success in sales engineering roles - Strong leadership and team management skills - Innovative and eager to learn - Curious individuals who are open to exploring new business opportunities **BENEFITS OF WORKING FOR HONEYWELL** - Benefits – Medical, Vision, Dental, Mental Health - Paid Vacation - 401k Plan/Retirement Benefits (as per regional policy) - Career Growth - Professional Development **ABOUT HONEYWELL** Honeywell International Inc.
