Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Apartment Porter/Cleaner to join our team and play a crucial role in maintaining the upkeep of our properties. The ideal candidate will have a background in general maintenance, repairs, cleaning, janitorial work, or customer service. Key Responsibilities: Janitorial Duties: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors and carpets. Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas. Empty trash and recycling bins; replace liners. Dust and wipe down surfaces, windows, and fixtures. Restock supplies (e.g., soap, paper towels, toilet paper) as needed. Groundskeeping: Maintain the cleanliness of outdoor areas including walkways, parking lots, and entrances. Pick up litter and debris around the property. Perform seasonal tasks such as snow removal, leaf raking, and de-icing walkways. Water plants and maintain small landscaped areas as needed. Light Maintenance: Perform basic repairs such as changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and tightening fixtures. Report more serious maintenance issues to the appropriate supervisor. Assist with moving furniture or equipment. Help with property inspections and prepare units or areas for new tenants or visitors. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or general maintenance roles is a plus. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods. Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, tools, and light maintenance. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
