Our partner is looking for an AP Manager based in India.** This role offers the opportunity to build and lead an Accounts Payable function from the ground up within a global, remote-first finance environment. You will take ownership of end-to-end AP operations while designing scalable processes, controls, and systems across multiple international entities. The position combines strategic process improvement with hands-on execution, giving you the ability to directly shape how finance operations scale. You will collaborate with a distributed team and contribute to building a more efficient, transparent, and scalable finance foundation. ### Accountabilities: As an AP Manager, you will own the full Accounts Payable lifecycle, balancing operational execution with process design and continuous improvement across a multi-entity environment. - Build and manage the Accounts Payable function from the ground up, transitioning responsibilities from existing accounting teams into a centralized operating model. - Own daily AP operations, including invoice processing, vendor bill coding, credit card transaction management, and payment execution. - Design and standardize procure-to-pay (P2P) workflows across finance systems and international entities. - Improve and automate AP processes by leveraging integrations, AI tools, and workflow optimization opportunities. - Manage and optimize finance systems, including NetSuite, Ramp, Pleo, and related tools. - Develop and implement approval workflows, expense policies, system permissions, and internal controls to ensure compliance and proper segregation of duties. - Support month-end closing activities through accrual management, AP aging analysis, account reconciliations, and reporting. - Create documentation, standard operating procedures, and training resources to enable teams to adopt new processes effectively. - Partner with finance stakeholders and business teams to improve operational efficiency and scalability. ## Requirements: The ideal candidate is an experienced accounts payable professional who combines strong accounting expertise with process improvement skills and the ability to work independently in a global environment. - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - 5+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounting operations, or a similar finance role, preferably within a multi-entity organization. - Proven experience building, scaling, or significantly improving AP functions, including workflows, approval processes, and internal controls. - Hands-on experience administering and working with NetSuite and Ramp. - Experience using AI tools and automation solutions to optimize financial workflows and reduce manual processes. - Good understanding of VAT treatment and compliance requirements for European entities. - Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving. - Ability to manage priorities independently while working effectively in a remote environment. - Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. - Nice-to-have experience with Pleo or similar spend management platforms, expense policy implementation, or onboarding newly acquired entities into shared finance systems. ## Benefits: - Fully remote working environment with flexibility to work from anywhere. - Flexible schedule with collaboration overlap during core Central European working hours. - High level of autonomy and ownership within a trusted, outcome-focused team. - Opportunity to build and shape a finance function from the early stages. - Minimal bureaucra…
