Anticipated High School Special Education Teacher

Qualifications - Appropriate License issued by the State of Indiana to teach Special Education with preferred certification in Mild and Intense Intervention in Indiana. Duties - Effectively implement special education instruction and assessments as assigned. This includes following the curriculum, teaching standards, and models as outlined by the Indiana Department of Education and the Clarksville Community School Corporation. - Work with students in the self-contained functional room. - Effectively communicate with all stakeholders regarding student performance. - Effectively monitor all student learning and data. This would include, but is not limited to, observing and recording all student data related to classroom activities, providing intervention as indicated by the data and observations, and communicating with stakeholders regarding student learning and implementing IEPs. - Effectively facilitate IEP meetings and write and implement IEPs. - Effectively implement school- and board-adopted policies, procedures, and practices. - Effectively assume the duties associated with classroom management and administration of the school (i.e. attendance records, grade reporting, lesson plans, parent communication, etc.). - Effectively implement all requirements per State and Federal Special Education Laws, and school board adopted policies, procedures and practices. - Effectively implement other duties as assigned by the administration. *It is the policy of the Clarksville Community School Corporation not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, limited English proficiency, age or handicapping conditions in its programs or employment policies as required by the Indiana Civil Rights Act (I.C. 22-9.1), Title VI and Title VII (Civil Rights Act of 1964), the Equal Pay Act of 1973, Title IX (Educational Amendments), and Section 504 (Rehabilitation Act of 1973).*
