| DEPT OF AGRICULTURE *The Mission of our Agency is to protect the health and safety of Arizona consumers, advance and support Arizona agriculture, and safeguard commerce.* | | --- | ### **LIVESTOCK INSPECTOR** | Job Location: | | --- | #### Address: Animal Services Division Southern Arizona | Posting Details: | | --- | #### Salary: $41,600.00 - $45,695.00 #### Grade: 16 #### Closing Date: | Job Summary: | | --- | The Arizona Department of Agriculture is actively recruiting for two (2) Animal Health Inspectors for our Animal Services Division. The inspectors will be responsible for inspection at the Southern Border and inspections in their assigned areas. **Work hours are subject to change during summer hours to coincide with shipping.** Under direction from the Supervising Livestock Officer, the successful candidates will enforce livestock and animal health surveillance at the Arizona/Mexico border pursuant to A.R.S. Title 3, Chapters 4, 11, 12 and 13 (approximately 125 statutory provisions) and A.A.C. Title 3, Chapter 2 (approximately 50 rules); perform administrative record keeping and prepare reports; maintain confidential working relationships with ASD managers, State Veterinarian and supervisors; and operate a state-owned vehicle, trailer, and other equipment. This position is available for remote work on a full-time basis within Arizona (including virtual office arrangements).
