# Animal Care Technician – Bearded Dragons **Location:** Xenia, Ohio 45385 **Reports To:** Department Supervisor **Schedule:** 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Facility operates 365 days per year. Weekend and holiday work is required. Occasional overtime may be required. ## About Reptiles by Mack Reptiles by Mack is a reptile breeding and wholesale facility specializing in captive-bred reptiles such as bearded dragons, leopard geckos, corn snakes, and ball pythons. Learn more about us: https://reptilesbymack.com/video-brian-and-lori-barczyk-visit-reptiles-by-mack/ ## What You'll Do Provide daily care for reptiles and other animals, including: - Bearded dragons, geckos, snakes, turtles, frogs, spiders, and more - Feeder insects and rodents ### Responsibilities - Feed, water, and medicate animals - Clean and maintain enclosures - Set up and monitor eggs for incubation - Observe animals for health or behavior issues - Maintain accurate records - Report concerns to supervisors - Receive and organize supplies - Assist with other duties as needed ## Qualifications ### Required - Interest in working with animals - Ability to handle reptiles, insects, and feeder rodents - Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately - Attention to detail - Ability to follow instructions - Availability to work weekends and holidays - Reliable and punctual - Good communication and teamwork skills - Basic reading, writing, and math skills ### Preferred - Animal care or veterinary experience - Valid driver's license ## Physical Requirements - Work in 85°F–90°F temperatures with high humidity - Stand and perform physical work for an 8-hour shift - Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds frequently - Perform bending, lifting, and repetitive tasks ## Equal Opportunity Statement Reptiles by Mack is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. ## Disclaimer This job description outlines general responsibilities and may change based on business needs.
