AI Field Engineers are the technical tip of the spear: you embed with the most ambitious AI-native customers to turn complex AI problems into production systems, fast (~60% hands-on coding/deployment, ~40% client engagement + product feedback). WHAT YOU'LL DO Embed with AI-native customers and own POCs and MVPs. Deploy and optimize open-model inference (quantization, GPU tuning). Contribute directly to the product codebase. Bridge engineering, product, and customer delivery. Turn field insights into product feedback. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE First 1–2 weeks: client-facing from day one. First year: ship production systems with flagship AI-native customers and influence the roadmap. MUST-HAVES 5–10 years in customer-facing ML/AI engineering (FDE, Applied AI, or Solutions Engineering) as a senior IC; strong Python; experience with LLM inference/fine-tuning and GPU infrastructure; ability to code and engage clients simultaneously. NICE-TO-HAVES vLLM / SGLang / TensorRT-LLM, Kubernetes, and hyperscaler AI platforms (Bedrock, SageMaker, Vertex, Azure AI Foundry).
