Job Description POSITION SUMMARY: We are looking for a dedicated and supportive K-5 After School Program Site Assistants at JFK, Discovery, Oscar Howe, Pettigrew, and Hayward Elementary School's for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year. The Site Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe, structured, and engaging environment for students. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Support the Site Coordinator in implementing daily lessons and activities. Assist with behavior management, using positive reinforcement and redirection strategies.Ensure the safety and supervision of all children at all times. - Help facilitate transitions between activities, ensuring the schedule runs smoothly.. Encourage participation and foster a positive, inclusive environment for all students.Help with classroom organization, setup, and cleanup to maintain a structured learning space.Communicate effectively with staff members to ensure smooth program operations.Model professionalism and enthusiasm, setting a positive example for students. Asks the supervisor when unsure of priorities. QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience working with children in a school, camp, or childcare setting is preferred. - Strong teamwork and communication skills. - Ability to assist in managing student behaviors and reinforcing positive expectations. - Comfortable supporting field trip activities and ensuring child safety. - Reliable, flexible, and able to step in where needed. - CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
