Accrued time is available for immediate use; prorated first year** **Position** The Assembler works according to task time on a moving line or bench, performing finish assembly processes to mass-produce commercial aircraft composite products. The individual is experienced, semi-skilled worker who operates machines, factory-related processing equipment, or vehicles. Has acquired skills from training and work experience, has limited autonomy, and works under moderate supervision. Achieves competency with skills assigned to this level. **Responsibilities** - Follow job traveler instructions to assemble parts using small hand tools, bonding adhesives and assembly jigs. - Hand wraps insulation blankets, using utility knives, foam insulation, and insulation tape. - Performs light sanding and abrading of composite, plastic, and some metal components. - May perform some light riveting using rivet squeezes and pop rivet guns. *Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.* **Required Qualifications** - Fine hand motor skills. - Strong attention to detail. - Excellent communication skill both written and verbal. - Self- motivated and quick learner. - Basic math skills. **Preferred Qualifications** - Understanding of process specifications. - Bonding experience. - Ability to utilize measuring equipment, including scales and calipers. - Small Tools **Education** - High School Diploma/GED preferred. **Experience** - Two years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities in a manufacturing environment preferred. **Working Conditions** While performing the typical duties of this job, employees will experience the conditions noted below. PPE is provided to protect employees against physical harm or hazards in the workplace environment. - Usually work indoors. These sites may not be temperature controlled - Exposure to loud sounds and distracting noise levels - Exposure to hazardous equipment - Exposure to contaminants - Shared workspaces with other employees - Requires handling objects of up to 30 lbs. - Lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending - Standing and/or walking for 8 to 12 or more hours per day (varies based on role, shift, and overtime) **Required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)** Required PPE provided by SEKISUI Aerospace based on the employee’s position and exposure. Below are typical PPE used on the production floor.
