As an Advanced Chemical Engineer at Honeywell LNG, you will play a crucial role in Honeywell Process Technology supporting the LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) Process Engineering team. This position will be reporting to our Senior Process Engineering Manager based in Allentown, Pennsylvania on a hybrid schedule. (https://ess.honeywell.com/us/en/solutions/lng/liquefaction) **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** - Apply engineering expertise to design and implement world-class natural gas liquefaction processes and equipment. - Perform advanced process cycle simulations for natural gas liquefaction and related systems. - Complete detailed thermal design of proprietary heat transfer equipment (coil wound heat exchanger) manufactured by Honeywell LNG. - Conduct relief and depressuring scenario analyses for proprietary equipment using established tools and methodologies. - Support plant operations through startup, performance testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including commercial, project management, mechanical design, manufacturing, machinery, R&D, and start-up—to ensure seamless project execution, and drive product development and improvement. - Participate in P&ID reviews and HAZOPs at contractor offices to ensure safety, operability and design integrity. - Domestic and international travel to clients’ offices, contractors, and plant sites expected about 10-15 percent of the time. ### Qualifications **YOU MUST HAVE** - Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from an accredited institution. - 5+ years of experience in chemical engineering. - 3+ years of experience with process simulation software. - Demonstrated expertise in chemical engineering principles and practices. - Experience in process design and start-up on large capital projects - Solid understanding of LNG thermodynamics and cryogenic processes, Process control and instrumentation, and Compressor dynamics and anti-surge control - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. **WE VALUE** - 8+ years of experience in LNG liquefaction, cryogenic technology, or chemical manufacturing environment. - Ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement. - Passion for safety, sustainability, and compliance. - Advanced Engineering degrees such as MS, ME or PhD in Chemical Engineering. **BENEFITS OF WORKING FOR HONEYWELL**In addition to a competitive salary, leading-edge work, and developing solutions side-by-side with dedicated experts in their fields, Honeywell employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.
