Job Title: Locum Speech and Language Therapist – Adult Dysphagia Banding: Band 6/7 Location: West London Start Date: ASAP Rate: £24.00–£32.00 per hour Working Hours: Full-time or Part-time Contract Length: 3 Months Job Overview We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Band 6/7 Speech and Language Therapist to join a community-based service in West London on a locum basis. This exciting opportunity offers flexible full-time or part-time hours for an initial three-month contract, with an immediate start available. Working across community and outpatient clinic settings, you will assess, diagnose, and manage adults with communication and swallowing disorders, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care as part of a multidisciplinary team. This role is ideal for a therapist with experience in dysphagia management who enjoys working across a variety of clinical environments. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will: Assess, diagnose, and treat adults presenting with speech, language, communication, and swallowing difficulties. Independently manage a caseload across community and outpatient clinic settings. Provide assessment and treatment for patients with dysphagia in line with current clinical guidelines. Develop and implement individualised treatment plans to support patients' communication and swallowing needs. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality care. Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with HCPC and local service standards. Qualifications and Experience To be considered for this role, you must have: A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent). HCPC registration. Experience working at Band 6 or Band 7 level. Dysphagia competency and relevant postgraduate training. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for community visits.
