Team Recovery is more than a treatment center. **We're a new approach to an old problem.** **Job Summary:** The Admissions Specialist role is responsible for facilitating the admissions process for individuals seeking treatment for substance abuse and addiction. The role serves as the initial point of contact for potential clients and their families, guiding them through the admissions process, assessing their needs, and ensuring a smooth transition into treatment. **Core Responsibilities:** - Conduct initial screenings and assessments to determine client needs, eligibility, and appropriate level of care. - Educate prospective clients and families about available programs, services, admission requirements, and the treatment process. - Schedule and coordinate intake appointments to support timely admissions. - Follow up with prospective clients to provide support, answer questions, address barriers, and confirm attendance prior to admission. - Provide referrals and guidance to individuals who do not meet criteria for services or require alternative resources. - Support clients and families throughout the admissions process with professionalism, compassion, and respect. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation within electronic health record and admissions systems. - Communicate effectively with referral sources, including hospitals, healthcare providers, therapists, treatment facilities, and community partners. - Respond promptly to admission inquiries and ensure appropriate follow-up communication. - Collaborate with clinical, medical, housing, and operational teams to support smooth transitions into care. - Participate in staff meetings, training, and ongoing professional development. - Support departmental goals, process improvements, and quality initiatives. - Maintain flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, scheduling needs, and departmental responsibilities. - Perform other duties as assigned that support the mission and operations of the admissions team. **Education Requirements:** - Required: High School Diploma or GED. - Preferred: Degree from accredited college or university in a related field of study. **License Requirements:** - Preferred: Valid CDCA, QMHS, and/or CPI Certification - CPR Certification required, will train upon hire. - Must have a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, be 21 years or older, and be deemed insurable through Team Recovery's insurance carrier. **Experience Requirements:** - Minimum of 1+ years of experience in Behavioral Health and SUD treatment. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. - Proficiency in office technologies such as Google & Microsoft. - Working knowledge in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) required. - Familiarity with addiction & mental health complications and a compassionate approach to communicating with clients & families. **Why You'll Love Working with Us:** We believe in taking care of our team, both in and out of the workplace.
