This position is responsible for maintaining ongoing communication with prospective students and their families, school counselors, faculty and alumni through the recruitment process. The Admissions Counselor serves as a responsive and supportive point of contact, demonstrating sensitivity to the distinct needs of each constituent group. The Admissions Counselor will develop and implement recruitment strategies and programs that reflect Drew University's mission and student-centered values. This is a full-time, exempt, 12-month, entry-level position reporting to the Senior Associate Director of Admissions. **Key Responsibilities:** - Recruit, admit, and enroll academically qualified students to Drew University. - Plan and execute territory-related recruitment events such as high school visits, college fairs, national fairs, on-campus events. Initiate, maintain, and record contact with prospective students throughout the enrollment process. This includes programs held on nights and weekends and travels approximately 10-12 weeks per year. - Represent Drew University at recruitment activities in a designated geographic territory. - Initiate and maintain strong relationships with prospective students, families, and college counselors throughout the enrollment process. - Review applications and make admission decision recommendations. - Counsel prospective students and their families on the admissions and financial aid processes. - Assist in the development and execution of on and off-campus Drew University admissions events. - Analyze data to assist in developing a strategic recruitment plan for designated territory. - Work with data from various outside vendors and products to enable the best strategies used to perform and execute marketing, communication and recruitment travel efforts. - Assist in the development and implementation of campaigns and events on campus that help attract students to visit and enroll at Drew University. - Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Associate Director of Admissions or her designate. **Required Education and Experience:** - Bachelor's degree required. - No prior Admissions experience required; 1-2 years of experience in College Admissions is preferred. - Extensive travel is required. - A valid Driver's license is required. **Application:** To apply, submit the following materials: - Cover letter - CV/Resume Applications will be reviewed as submitted. **About Drew University** *Drew University, a Phi Beta Kappa liberal arts university, includes the College of Liberal Arts, Drew Theological School, and the Caspersen School of Graduate Studies.
