[Click here](https://www.lsco.edu/student-life/safety-security/clery-act/index.php) to find the report on our website. - ## Job Summary - **GENERAL DESCRIPTION:** The Admissions Clerk II reports directly to the Director of Admissions and Recruiting and is responsible for ensuring that all required records for admissions to Lamar State College Orange are received and in order and entered the Banner student system as well as other related systems. - ## Duties/Responsibilities - **ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:**1. Act as receptionist for department: Includes greeting customers, responding to emails and directing incoming calls. 2. Oversee all admission functions include processing and evaluating applications for data input, ensuring that all records required by law and the college are received and in order. 3. Assist students in meeting admissions requirements. 4. Process bacterial meningitis requirement records. Download student data from bacterial meningitis website. Communicate with students regarding requirement and update student records. 5. Develop, processes, and email communications to students regarding acceptance to the college and missing documents. 6. Receive, review and evaluate high school transcripts. Receive transfer college transcripts and relay to the Transcript Evaluator for evaluation. 7. Scan and index admissions documents into imaging system and maintain all student admissions records in student’s permanent records. 8. Input and maintain relevant test scores in the Banner student system. 9. Process holds on student records. **OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:**1. Assist with the processing of transcript requests in the absence of the Transcript Evaluator. 2. Assist with the non-payment drop process; by updating the student record for reinstatement and registration. 3. Assist Continuing Education and Workforce Department with questions regarding the entering of Continuing Education applications and reviewing holds. 4. Cross train for other functions in the Admissions and Recruiting Office. 5. Assist as needed with other functions across Student Services. 6. Perform other relevant duties as required. - ## Minimum/Preferred Qualifications - **GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:** **Education** High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred. Minimum of two years of general clerical experience in a public contact position required.
