In this position, you'll help keep operations running smoothly by coordinating production activities, tracking orders and deliveries, communicating with sales and shipping teams, and ensuring production goals stay on track. Your efforts will directly impact on workflow efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall business success. **About the Role:** The Production Coordinator is responsible for ensuring quality and the production team meets scheduled goals. This entails a range of oversight of work including planning, scheduling, directing and executing production activities for maximum performance of projects. **Job Responsibilities:** - Responsible for providing logistical support for the Pump and Valve Department. - Responsible for documenting costs and delivery times on Production Orders. - Responsible for creating Hitachi Pump and Motor Tech reports - Responsible for communicating with the sales team on product availability - Responsible for finalizing and entering quotes along with communicating with sales to forward to the customer - Responsible for scheduling and rolling quotes to sales orders and due dates - Responsible for pre quotes when needed - Responsible for closing out production orders - Responsible for bringing sales orders to delivery with appropriate information - Responsible for communicating to shipping on completed units for shipping - Responsible for assisting General Manager with tasks needed to track parts - Responsible for updating the WIP daily - Responsible for issuing stock items to production orders - Participate in daily production meetings. - Perform other duties as assigned **Qualifications:** - 2+ years Production planning/scheduling/coordinator experience. - Familiar with purchasing and inventory control function. - Understanding of accounting/ERP software including PO/IC/AP/Job Costing (SAP Business One knowledge is a plus) - Experience doing some level of production planning/scheduling. - Professional level written and oral communication ability. - Able to organize & coordinate projects. - Able to prioritize and multi-task. - Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook (Access knowledge is a plus). - Lift 50lbs may require physical work on the shop floor **Work Environment:** - Manufacturing plant shop environment - Exposure to moving mechanical parts. - Exposure to elements such as odor, hydraulic fluids, noise, dust, heat, cold, or chemicals. - Safety Glasses required while performing specific tasks. - Other PPE equipment as required. - Employee works under typical office conditions, and the noise level is usually moderate.
