**Administrative Faculty Job Description** **Institutional Overview** Capitol Technology University is a career-focused university located in Laurel, Maryland, between Baltimore and Washington, D.C. It is a fully-accredited non-profit private university that was started in 1927 by a Navy veteran to teach students how to build radios. The University offers unique commitments to on-campus students that include a salary guarantee and a Chargers Assistance Program that helps students pay back their loans if they do not find full-time work within 90 days of graduation. **Position Summary** The Administrative Faculty will provide support in administration, recruitment, teaching and service related to all of academics but with a focus on the undergraduate programs. This position will be responsible for ensuring quality for administrative and operational tasks, marketing and growing the programs, promoting an on-campus undergraduate student experience, and managing the quality and integrity of the programs. The successful candidate must embrace a hands-on approach, possess a business-mindset, and thrive in a collaborative environment. Accordingly, Capitol strongly encourages industry professionals with an appropriate Master’s degree and teaching experience to apply for this position. This is a full-time on-campus 12-month appointment on our beautiful 52-acre campus in Laurel, MD, on the Baltimore Washington parkway. **Responsibilities** - Work effectively with all stakeholders to grow enrollment for the University in alignment with the mission and vision - Maintain high visibility on campus through holding regular office hours, teaching courses, and supporting enrollment events - Support and execute academic administrative and operational tasks (e.g., management of student workers, lab/class schedules, pre/post award grant management, etc.) with a focus on the undergraduate programs - Promote the University by engaging strategic external opportunities - Communicate effectively with all constituents including students, faculty, staff, parents, and alumni - Collaborate with government and industry partners to provide opportunities for our students - Demonstrate successful leadership in education and professional service - Support accreditation and assessment efforts for the Department - Perform other duties as required **Qualifications** - Master’s or PhD from an accredited institution of higher learning in a relevant STEM field - 5+ years of combined experience in administrative and/or teaching experience as well as professional experience in a related field - Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship - Industry experience is a plus and those working full-time in industry are strongly encouraged to apply **Salary Range** The salary for this position typically ranges from $85,000 to $95,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
