Two years of experience in administrative services. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience. The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found [here](https://apps01.civilservice.louisiana.gov/onestopjobinfo/DisplayJobSpec.aspx?JobCode=168060).Job Duties: - Processes, reviews, records, and issues marriage licenses while ensuring compliance with Louisiana Vital Records laws, regulations, and agency policies. - Provides exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries from the public and professional partners, explaining vital records services, fees, and legal requirements. - Serves as a liaison with Clerks of Court, judges, clergy, officiants, funeral homes, hospitals, and other stakeholders by providing technical guidance on marriage and vital records registration. - Reviews and processes paper and electronic vital event records, verifies document accuracy and completeness, resolves discrepancies, and maintains accurate records in the LEERS system. - Assists customers requesting vital records by verifying eligibility, reviewing applications, processing requests, and safeguarding confidential records in accordance with state law. - Maintains administrative and operational support by reconciling bank notes, managing records retention, preparing production reports, supporting inventory activities, and assisting with mail processing. - Participates in staff meetings, completes required training, supports departmental projects, and performs additional duties as needed to ensure efficient and effective operations.
