This position requires teaching undergraduate-level lecture and laboratory coursework in concept development, design, prototyping, and CAD skills. The anticipated start date of this position is August 2026 at the earliest and January 2027 at the latest. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan by the first day of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site. The selected candidate for this position must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire without employer assistance or sponsorship now or in the future. The university will not assist with any F-1 EADs, OPT, H-1 B, etc. | | | **Position Type:** | Faculty - Temporary & Continuing | | | **Required Education:** | Must meet College Faculty Qualification Guidelines and applicable accreditation requirements through academic credentials and/or approved tested experience. Faculty Qualification by Credential Faculty teaching associate-level (100- and 200-level) courses must possess a bachelor's degree or higher in the teaching discipline or a closely related field. Faculty teaching baccalaureate-level (300- and 400-level) courses must possess a master's degree in the teaching discipline or a closely related field, or a master's degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline. Faculty teaching graduate-level courses must possess a terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a closely related field, or an approved practice-based terminal qualification as defined by College guidelines. Faculty Qualification by Tested Experience Candidates who do not meet the academic credential requirements may qualify through approved tested experience, including relevant industry experience, licensure, certifications, and other non-degree credentials, as defined by the College's Faculty Qualification Guidelines. | | | **Required Work Experience:** | Must meet College Faculty Qualification Guidelines and applicable accreditation requirements through academic credentials and/or approved tested experience.
