Macomb Community College Adjunct Faculty demonstrate deep subject matter knowledge and provide effective instruction to students using various modalities including, but not limited to, on campus, online, remote, hybrid, and flexible learning. Adjunct Faculty are responsive to their students and support their success through timely communication, feedback, and assessment of student learning. - Teach predefined subject matter as assigned by the department. Subject matter in Climate Control includes any of the following: Heating, Cooling, Ventilation, Refrigeration, Building Controls, Steam & Hot Water Heating Systems, and Sheet Metal Layout & Fabrication. - Maintain course materials in the College’s Learning Management System (LMS), including, but not limited to, announcement, syllabus, and gradebook. - Keep gradebook up to date and submit final grades by published deadlines. - Participate and actively cooperate with the department and Learning Unit to meet accreditation standards. - Assist in facilitating student clinical and or lab experiences as assigned. - Participate in course assessments that will accurately measure achievement of student learning outcomes as assigned. - Complete training for various instructional delivery modalities as required. - Maintain faculty credentials as required by the College’s accrediting agencies. - Attend Faculty Development Days and/or Institutional Development Days as schedule permits. - Participate in Learning Unit committees as schedule permits. - Other duties as assigned in compliance with the AAFMCC collective bargaining agreement. - **Licensed/Certified** in the appropriate mechanical/industrial trade (e.g., State License, Journeyman’s Card, Department of Labor Certification, or Product Certification), plus five (5) years of related work experience. **OR** - **Bachelor’s Degree** in the teaching discipline or related field with at least two years of work experience. **OR** - **Associate Degree** in the teaching discipline or related field with at least five years of work experience and equivalent experience. - **High School Diploma** or GED required. - **See *Education* section** - **Preferred:** Mechanical Contractor’s License
