Band 6 Occupational Therapist – Acute Stroke Unit Location: Essex Contract: Temporary Our client is seeking an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join their team on a Hyper Acute Stroke Unit in Essex. This role involves providing specialist occupational therapy interventions for patients with acute stroke, supporting recovery and facilitating safe, timely discharges. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality occupational therapy interventions for patients on a hyper acute stroke unit. Complete functional assessments and rehabilitation plans tailored to stroke recovery. Support discharge planning and liaise with the multidisciplinary team. Promote independence and optimize patient outcomes through evidence-based practice. Requirements: HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist. Proven experience in acute stroke care or similar neurological settings. Strong understanding of discharge pathways and admission avoidance. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
