AFI is an innovative organization with proven experience in creating exciting new products that redefine what is possible in the food and beverage manufacturing industry. * * * ## **Position Summary** The Accounting Manager supports the Finance department by overseeing core accounting functions, ensuring accuracy of financial reporting, and supporting the organization’s financial operations. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to maintain financial integrity, support month-end close, and contribute to process improvements across accounting and reporting functions. * * * ## **Essential Duties & Responsibilities** - Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations - Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes - Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements and supporting schedules - Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies - Partner with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting and operational alignment - Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis - Maintain compliance with internal controls, policies, and accounting standards - Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests - Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency within accounting functions ## **Qualifications** ### **Education** - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required ### **Experience** - 3–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or a related industry - Experience supporting financial close processes and reconciliations ### **Skills & Abilities** - Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting - High attention to detail and accuracy - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (Sage preferred) - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment - Strong communication and collaboration skills * * * ## **Work Environment** - On-site role based in Burlington, NC - Collaborative, fast-paced finance and manufacturing environment * * * ## **Compensation** **Salary Range: $75,000 – $85,000 (Exempt)** * * * ## **Equal Employment Opportunity** Alamance Foods, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
