Accounting Intern

Fall Internship Location: West Fargo Headquarters Shift and Time: Part-Time, Flexible Entity: DFC Company Summary: Provide administrative and transactional support to the Accounting team across a variety of accounting functions. Assist with data entry, invoice processing, account reconciliations, and other routine accounting activities. Prepare and process journal entries while supporting general ledger reconciliations. Organize, maintain, and file financial records, including invoices, receipts, statements, and supporting documentation. Assist in preparing financial reports by gathering, analyzing, and verifying financial data. Identify, research, and report discrepancies to support accurate financial reporting. Compile and organize documentation for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with accounting staff and cross-functional departments to support financial operations and resolve issues. Gain practical experience using accounting software, financial systems, and reporting tools in a professional business environment. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information while demonstrating professionalism and attention to detail. Apply foundational accounting knowledge to support day-to-day financial processes and continuous improvement initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: High School diploma or equivalency is required. Currently pursuing a Bachelor�s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with a minimum GPA of 3.5. Experience and Skills Required: 1. Basic knowledge of accounting principles 2. Strong verbal and written communication skills 3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities 4. Ability to interact in a positive manner with others 5.
