Accounting Clerk

**Overall Purpose**: Accounting Clerk performs a variety of accounting tasks, including: assist with the processing of vendor invoices, establishing and maintaining vendor records, and provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department. This is a part-time position with an expected schedule of 22.5 hours per week. We offer flexibility in determining the specific work schedule, which will be finalized at a later time. **Essential Job Duties**: - Research and resolve vendor issues and/or discrepancies - File invoices and payables - Obtain signatures for checks, ACH’s and wires - Enter vendor invoices for payment - Assist with check run procedures, monthly reconciliations, month end closing, special projects and reporting and other business administrative functions - Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies - Review all expense reports and check requests to ensure proper G.L. codes and approvals are applied **Qualifications/Requirements**: - Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel - Ability to perform and understand mathematical and accounting computations - Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task a variety of assignments in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision - Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writing with internal customers and vendors - Accuracy and attention to detail **Physical Demand**: Ability to perform data entry into accounting software for up to 4-5 hours a day. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
