Join our team as an Accounting Clerk! This position will primarily be focused on revenue related functions. A few examples of the required job duties are exporting daily revenue data from the point of sale system, creating and posting daily revenue journal entries in the accounting software, and completing bank reconciliations daily and monthly. Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and ability to communicate effectively with staff and guests is essential. **The Accounting Clerk may perform the following duties:** - Generates, audits and inputs daily revenue journal entries for all revenue-producing facilities. - Research revenue discrepancies using the point of sale system. - Responsible for completing the daily and monthly bank reconciliations. - Responds in a timely manner to staff and bank employees’ phone calls and questions related to revenue and bank deposits. - Creates accounts in the accounting software for new vendors. - Reviews vendors’ W-9 forms for accuracy and completion. Also, maintains the W-9 files. - Responsible for importing revenue data into an Access database and generating reports on a daily basis. - Cross trains and assists in other areas of the finance team. - Exhibits regular and punctual attendance. - Other duties as assigned. **QUALIFICATIONS** An appropriate combination of education, training, course work and experience may qualify the applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities. An example of an acceptable qualification is: - High School Diploma or GED with college level course work in basic principles of accounting - 5 years’ experience in bookkeeping and auditing - Demonstrable skill in application of spreadsheet software - Ability to document identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of original appointment as a condition of employment in compliance with Immigration Reform and Control Act requirements. **LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS** - State Driver License that meets current GPHC carrier guidelines.
