This new college will help address the shortage of nurses in Texas, which has the second-fewest nurses per capita in the U.S. | | **Position Overview** The Academic Clinical Placement Coordinator reports to the Sr. Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and is responsible for coordinating and securing high-quality clinical learning experiences for nursing students across academic programs. This role serves as a liaison between the College of Nursing, healthcare partners, faculty, and students to ensure that clinical placements meet program outcomes, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements. The coordinator supports the operational execution of clinical education by managing placements, collaborating with the Office of Clinical Affairs in the maintenance of affiliation agreements and ensuring compliance, and contributing to the development of sustainable academic–practice partnerships. | | **Minimum Qualifications** High school diploma or GED and eight (8) years of related experience in a hospital and/or ambulatory care setting. Requires graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program. | | **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of programs: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint . Manages time and multiple projects Works independently. Maintains professional dress, grooming and demeanor. Maintains good working relationships with coworkers.
