Responds to rapid response and code blue situations, performing CPR as needed. - Manages ventilators, both invasive and non-invasive, and documents changes. - Assists with bedside bronchoscopy and manages non-invasive Bi-level and end-tidal CO2 capnography. - Performs respiratory therapy treatments and procedures per physician orders and department protocols. - Participates in interdisciplinary rounds, providing input on patient care to impact length of stay and re-admission rates. - Assists with clinical instruction, precepts, and serves as a resource for lower-level therapists. - Reviews workload, makes staff assignments, and ensures completion of tasks when acting as shift lead. - Follows regulatory requirements for the blood gas lab, including quality control and analyzer maintenance. - Identifies and implements cost-control methods while maintaining patient care quality. - Completes and documents ECGs and ensures all errors and inefficiencies are reported to management. - Other duties as assigned. **Education:** - Technical/Vocational School [Required] **Field of Study:** - In respiratory therapy program prior to obtaining license or grandfathered in prior to licensure **Work Experience:** - 1+ years critical care experience [Required] - 3+ years Respiratory Care experience [Required] **Licenses and Certifications:** - State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) [Required] - Active NBRC Credentialed Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) [Required] - Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required] - Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) [Required] **Physical Requirements:** *(Please click the link below to view work requirements)* Physical Requirements - https://tinyurl.com/2vvwrzem **Pay Range:** $25.16 - $46.80 **Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)** Certain positions are subject to **Florida Level 2 background screening**, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
