31st and Wharton is a boutique, high-end craft wholesaler based in Philadelphia serving southeastern PA with the finest in artisanal beers, ciders, and meads. We deliver to 400-600 restaurant, bar, distributor, and grocery customers per week, and carry 1,000 SKUs of craft beer in cases and kegs. We are looking for an Helper/Order Picker to join our team. JOB DESCRIPTION: This position will be responsible to pick orders accurately and efficiently, perform VIR on forklift, and wrap, label, ship, receive all products. Also, Assist Drivers on the road when needed. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Shift starts at 4am - Must be able to interact cordially and productively with a variety of people. - Must establish and maintain an effective working relationship with supervisor, employees, and co-workers. - Ability to engage in frequent bending, stooping and stretching. Lifting up to 165lbs. - Assist route driver with the delivery of beer and beer products to 31st and Wharton’s customers - Perform all other job-related duties as assigned - Guide the delivery truck driver whenever the truck is moving in reverse - Gather all delivery equipment needed in order to execute scheduled deliveries and organize all truck returns prior to the truck’s arrival to the warehouse at the end of the workday Environmental / Atmospheric Working Conditions: Wear protective or safety attire when appropriate Sometimes are exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures while working outside May have to get into cramped positions to reach workspaces, such as the back of a delivery truck bay Occasional exposure to bright or dim lighting conditions Occasional exposure to whole body vibration riding in truck Sometimes deal with sounds or noise levels that are disrupting Still interested?
