2nd Shift - Water Saw Operator

**Job Title: 2nd Shift - Water Saw OperatorSchedule: Monday - Friday (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM)** **MUST BE ABLE TO WORK OVERTIME** **Summary:** Cut granite stone slabs to geometry specified on shop drawings. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** - Use overhead crane to load stone slabs onto Bridge Saw Table - Accurately read and understand shop drawings and job specific paperwork. - Measure, mark and cut slabs to specifications on shop drawings (to a tolerance of 1/16 of an inch.) - Utilizes tape measure to accurately measure and mark work before cutting. - Use touch screen monitor to interface with pendant to manipulate machinery movements. - Manually remove excess material from saw table and discard into designated dumpster. - Use overhead crane as well as buddy lifts to remove cut stone from saw table. - Communicate job progress when transitioning between shifts/operators. - At the end of the day and various times throughout the day will clean the work areas he has worked in to ensure cleanliness and safe work conditions are maintained. - Will perform minor maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure safe and effective operation - Must be able to work in a wet environment. - Other duties may be assigned. **Education and/or Experience** High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. **Mathematical Skills** Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
