2nd Shift Production Supervisor- Injection Molding

**General Technologies, Inc. is looking to hire a Production Supervisor to provide additional support to our team!** **Purpose** **:** Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. **Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):** - Set daily objectives and communicate them to employees - Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules - Oversee and coach employees on a daily basis - Ensure the safe use of equipment and tools on a daily basis - Check production output according to specifications - Submit reports on performance and progress - Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements - Assure that new employees are receiving adequate training on how to safely use machinery and are following procedures - Ensure housekeeping is maintained on a daily basis - Maintain positive employee relations and adhere to Company policies and safety standards - Reports to plant manager **Requirements:** - Proven experience as Production Supervisor or similar role - 2-3 years' experience of 'hands-on' injection molding - Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools - Must be able to troubleshoot and adjust molding parameters to maintain quality and maximum output - Must be able to respond to problems by performing corrective technical or mechanical solutions - Must be able to engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers - Must be flexible; able to work extended hours and weekends when required - May be required to sit or stand for long periods of time - Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds - Basic knowledge in MS Office - Organizational and leadership abilities - Communication and interpersonal skills - Self-motivated with a results-driven approach - Problem-solving skills - High School Diploma; Degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field will be an advantage - Bilingual (English & Spanish) is not mandatory but is a plus **Schedule:** - Mon-Fri 1:45pm-11:15pm - Must be able to work overtime and on weekends when needed **Physical Demands:** The description below is intended to describe the general content and requirements for the performance of this job but is not limited to: - While performing the duties of the job, the employee may be required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. - The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs. - Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
