Join us and help run what runs the world. **This position reports to:** Maintenance Supervisor \_\_ **Your role and responsibilities** In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the processes in maintaining and preserving the efficiency of all equipment, production lines, and/or facilities, resulting in the optimization of technical and financial resources. Each day, you will oversee execution of ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of equipment, production lines, and/or facilities. You will also showcase your expertise by managing and updating technical documentation of equipment, production lines, and/or facilities. The work model for the role is: onsite at the Pinetops, NC facility. {#LinkedIn-Onsite} This role is 2nd shift with working hours 3:30 pm-12:00 am. You will be mainly accountable for: - Defining maintenance plans for new production lines or facilities, and consulting on ways to improve reliability, maintainability, and safety of equipment and/or facilities. - Solving major technical, equipment, or facilities problems to achieve higher performance of the production lines. - Proposing improvement projects for processes and production lines aimed at reducing ordinary and extraordinary maintenance and optimizing operational and energy efficiency. - Responding to emergencies, breakdowns, malfunctions, and other operating problems to minimize disruption in the production process. **Qualifications for the role** - 2+ years working as a maintenance technician - High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree in related field (Mechanical or Electrical) preferred. - Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US. - Knowledge and use of tools – tape measure, calipers, grinders, or other hand tools, as needed. - Ability to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed. Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40lbs. - Data Analysis & Reporting. Engineering & Manufacturing Processes. Planned Maintenance & Backlog experience. Specialist Technical & Engineering Skills **Working conditions** Manufacturing plant environment requires a combination of hands-on and technical tasks. Work may involve occasional lifting of materials, climbing stairs/ladders, and walking. Employees may be required to bend, twist, or stand for extended periods. Frequent use of computers is necessary for data entry, monitoring, and communication. Employees will also handle a variety of tools and equipment, from hand tools to machinery, requiring technical skills and adherence to safety protocols. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed shoes, is required to ensure a safe working environment. Adhering to safety guidelines is essential for all team members.
