2nd Shift Junior Operator

## Description The Junior Operator is responsible for operating the blending and mixing equipment to produce high-quality products in a safe, consistent, and efficient manner. This role requires a willingness to learn and be mentored by experienced Senior Operators and to perform other utility work as assigned. The ideal candidate demonstrates reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, quality, productivity, and civility. ## Requirements **Essential Job Functions** • Align with and embrace Smooth-On’s 4 Pillars: Civility, Accuracy, Safety and Productivity; • Practice civility in all aspects of your job by actively listening, hearing and working together with co-workers, vendors and managers and by resolving issues respectfully and professionally in a civil manner; • Interact with coworkers, customers, and vendors in a respectful, courteous, and professional manner—verbally, non-verbally, and in written communications; • Willing to work with others in a team environment; • Comply with company rules, policies and procedures; • Continually practice safety procedures and policies to protect yourself, others and company owned property; • Seek guidance from a Team Leader or Manager before performing an unfamiliar task or assignment; • Safely and consistently manufacture batches that meet quality standards; • Respond swiftly and appropriately to non-standard or emergency situations to minimize risks and maintain safety; • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times; • Accurately follow and complete Batch Sheets and Pack-Out Sheets, ensuring proper documentation throughout the production process; • Produce batches consistently and without error, in line with established procedures; • Identify and report any discrepancies in batch sheets and suggest improvements in line with best practices; • Operate equipment and machinery safely and effectively to complete batch production; • Understand and adhere to procedures for handling flammable materials and hazardous substances; • Participate in annual training and remain compliant with regulations related to hazardous waste handling (e.g., drum storage and transportation); • Complete job tasks efficiently, timely and accurately according to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), job aids and based on job function; • Maintain work area (e.g., materials, stock areas, desks, floors, shelves, counters, etc.) in a safe, clean, organized, and efficient manner; • Must show up for work on time and be willing to work overtime as required. • Demonstrate reliable attendance, limited lateness or call outs; • Must have reliable transportation to and from work; • Willingness to learn other jobs; • Perform other job-related duties or responsibilities when requested or required whether or not specifically mentioned in job description; • All other duties as assigned. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities** **** · Familiarity with SAP (or ability to learn it quickly); · Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy; · Strong basic math skills; · Ability to maintain high level of attention to detail and accuracy; · Ability to strictly follow written procedures and safety guidelines; · Understanding of standard operating procedures and workplace policies; · Commitment to maintaining a clean and orderly work area; · Proficiency in operating a forklift (or willingness to become certified); · Knowledge of raw materials, chemical handling, and packaging supplies; · Ability to recognize and manage hazardous materials appropriately; · Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and work independently; · Problem-solving skills and proactive approach to challenges; · Competence in completing paperwork and reports accurately and legibly; · Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems and software; · Eagerness to learn and operate new equipment and processes. **Physical Requirements** **** The following are physical requirements for this positi…
