2nd Grade Teacher

**2nd Grade Teacher** *Baton Rouge Ochsner Discovery Health Sciences Academy (BROD) is a newly authorized Type 2 Charter that is part of the Discovery Schools Charter Management Organization. We are excited to bring Discovery education to the Baton Rouge area through our second corporate partnership with Ochsner Health. The school opened in August for the 2023-24 school year, starting with grades PreK4 - 4th and will eventually educate students in grades PreK - 8th at full capacity.* Baton Rouge Ochsner Discovery Health Sciences Academy seeks Bachelor’s or Master’s degree teacher certified in Elementary Education. Two (2)+ years of experience with children in a school setting is preferred. Knowledge of the Louisiana Student Standards and LEAP assessment is required. Familiarity with Guided Reading, Fountas and Pinnell assessment, and Writing Workshop is an asset. Interest in leading extracurricular student activities is a plus. Position available August 2026.
